Jesus Christ is the reason why Metro Life Church is in the great city of Lafayette, LA. Without Him, no church would exist. It's our first priority to introduce everyone who walks through our doors to a life-long, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. A better way of life
At Metro Life Church, our desire is to show the people of Acadiana a better way of life through Jesus Christ. The world has many things to offer people today, but through a life lived with Jesus Christ, you can experience life to it's fullest. Our goal is to teach people who they are and what they have in Christ. To reveal to every believer their authority over the enemy that was delegated to them by Jesus Christ through His ressurection. To train them how to live by faith, walk in God's love, and experience the joy that comes from the Holy Spirit. Living this way is truly a better way of life.
Something for everyone
We are passionate about offering minsitry to every person, no matter age, race, gender, or economic status. We thrive on building relationships within the local church, and helping to develop the gifts and callings that are within the church members. As a member of MLC, you have plenty of ministries available to you that are designed to serve your spiritual, emotional, and social needs. Within these ministries we also offer training for any member who feels a desire to serve others. There are many areas to choose from if you are looking to get plugged in and serve the local Body. We have made it our goal to provide a ministry to meet the needs of anyone who walks through our doors. From infants to senior citizens, we have something for everyone.

Demonstration
We hold firm to our relationship with the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we allow the Holy Spirit to move in our services as He chooses. We do not believe in supressing the moving of the Spirit in order to gain church growth. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the only way to truly receive freedom in life. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:17 "...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." For us to not allow the Spirit of the Lord to move in our services would be robbing you of your freedom in Christ.
Anointed ministry
From the worship to the preaching, we saturate everything that we do with intimate and intense prayer and preperation. Church is not a function or event to us, it is ministry. We know that from one week to the next you may encounter tests and trials. We are sensitive to that and rely on the Holy Spirit to direct us in our ministry to the congregation. Our messages that are preached from the pulpit are and will always be backed by the Word of God. We desire to give the listener a balanced diet of the whole Word of God, offering you everything that the bible has to say on subjects like: faith, hope, love, stewardship, prayer, healing, joy, holiness, and many other topics.
A place to serve
We have many areas that you can get involved in here at MLC. God has placed gifts inside all of us to be used for His glory. No matter you skill level or spiritual maturity, we have plenty of areas that you can get plugged into and begin to grow in your gifts. Serving others is what Christ came to do. Together, with the volunteers at Metro Life Church, we are truly changing lives all over Acadiana and showing people a better way of life.
A place to grow
Metro Life Church has a fully accredited Bible College called In Christ International Bible College. This college allows believers to obtain degrees in theological studies at an affordable rate and an obtainable schedule and pace. For more information about ICIBC click here.
