THE PRINCIPLES VS. THE SPIRIT

2 Corinthians 4:13
”The principles of faith are taught, but the spirit of faith is caught.”
-Mark Hankins

-Jesus spent much of His time teaching.
-If people automatically knew how to receive from God and walk with Him, why did Jesus spend so much time teaching?
-The fact is, we must have the teaching of the Word of God.
-Learning the principles of faith is not enough to produce results.
-You must have the spirit of faith in order for it to be affective.

THE POWER IS IN THE 2ND HEARING

Romans 10:17
-The power is in the 2nd “hearing.”
-The second word “hearing” literally means “understanding.”
-It’s not enough to hear, you have to understand.
-It’s not enough to know the principles of faith, you have to have the spirit of faith.

FAITH HAS NO LIMITS

Mark 9:23
Luke 1:37
-The spirit of faith is unlimited!
-The sprit of faith takes the limits off of God.
-God can do and wants to do things for you that are so amazing, there will be no doubt that He did it.
-God is so good that He will do things for you that you wouldn’t do for yourself.
-The Spirit of faith believes and speaks the unlimited possibilities of God.

BLESSED BY ASSOCIATION

“You can catch the spirit of faith by associating with people who have it”
-Mark Hankins

-Have you ever heard the term, “guilty by association?”
-When you are around people who have the spirit of faith you are blessed by association.
-The spirit of faith must be imparted.
-You can catch it by associating with people who have it.
-The spirit of faith is contagious!
-When you have it you pass it on to others.

CONTAGIOUS CONFUSSION

Luke 8:50
“It is impossible to have a spirit of faith and a spirit of fear at the same time.”
-Mark Hankins

-Just like faith is contagious, so is fear.
-Fear is the opposite of faith.
-Faith is like having a car in drive. Fear is like putting that car in reverse.
-Fear will paralyze your faith.
-You catch the spirit of those that you are around.
-What have you caught lately?
-What are the people who are around you catching?

RELEASING THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

Luke 1:37
“The spirit of faith will make a tad pole slap a whale.”
-Mark Hankins

“You can never achieve the impossible if you never attempt the impossible.”
-Mark Hankins

“The spirit of faith will position you to possess God’s best blessings.”
-Mark Hankins

Mark 11:22-24
-Open your mouth and begin to say what you want to see and watch God begin to frame your new world according to your words.
