STEWARDSHIP: THE PROCESS TO POSSESSION

-A Steward is one who manages or administrates the household or estate of his lord.
-Stewardship is the most basic call of God on any of our lives.
-It is the one call of God that we all have in common that is not dispensationaly sensitive (a respecter of persons) and that is eternal in nature.
-There is only one call that we all have and that is the call to be God’s steward.
-We are called to manage and administrate this earth, the Kingdom of God, and our resources on God’s behalf.

THE BEGINNING OF STEWARDSHIP

-Even Adam was required to be a steward over all the works of God’s hands.
-He was equipped with the power to do so.
-Everything we have belongs to the Lord.
-It’s such an honor to be allowed to live off of 90% of what is God’s (in reference to the tithe).

STEWARDSHIP OBLIGATION

Luke 16:9-13
-v.9 says to use your money to make to yourselves friends.
-Of course we know that as believers we are not to have any sharing of the heart or an opening of the heart to a person who is not a believer.
-Using our money to make friends is another way of saying getting people born again.
-So we are told to use our money to make friends, to bring people into the Kingdom of God.
-v.9 “…so that when you fail (die)…”
-When you die the people that were brought into the Kingdom of God because of your stewardship through giving, the Bible says that you will be welcomed into everlasting habitations.
-The broadways of heaven are going to be lined with the people that have been saved by virtue of the way that you used your life’s resource.
-The most basic definition of stewardship that is given here is using your money so that people can be saved.STEWARDSHIP ACTIVATES THE ANOINTING
-v. 11 …“true riches”
-True Riches: Anything that the anointing of God will provide.
-If you do not learn to be faithful on the level of money then anything that the anointing will do for you will not happen.
-Most Christians really have very little understanding or appreciation for the significance of money management in their life in order to experience the power of God, the anointing of God, the true riches.
-Money in and of itself has no value. It’s nothing but a medium of exchange that represents the material world.
-v.13 says, “…you cannot serve God and mammon.” However, you can serve God with mammon.

THE FIRST BASIC ELEMENT OF STEWARDSHIP

Ephesians 4:28
-One of the basic scriptural elements that we see in the Word about stewardship is the job.
-Labor: Consistent, diligent effort.
-You can labor in things that are not good and you can labor in things that are good.
-God guarantees you that if you are laboring towards things that are good then money will never be a problem. (…the laborer is worthy of his hire)

Deuteronomy 8:18

-God never said that He will give us wealth.
-He said that He gives us the power to get it.
-There is no automatic in financial prosperity.
-Your stewardship to the Word of God, and to your resources, will determine your power to attain it.

RESTRICTIONS TO GROWTH

-Every church that does not grow beyond a certain point is primarily restricted in their growth by limited finance or money.
-It takes money to purchase land, a new facility, airtime, advertisement, and other necessary tools to gain visibility and reach the community.
-Before we can tap into the supernatural there are some natural things that we have to tend to before God can put His SUPER on our natural.

MANAGING THE RESOURCE OF LIFE

-Money is the most foundational consideration of all when it comes to managing the resource of life.
-It’s the most basic thing that He entrusts us with and then judges us ready for larger gifts to manage.

Matthew 25:14-29

-The two that were told well done were the ones that produced increase.
-Are you using what you have to produce increase in the Kingdom of God?
-The extent and the nature of your eternal assignment depends on how effectively you function as God’s steward on this earth.

CREATED WITH PURPOSE

-God does not create anything without purpose.
-We were created to rule and reign in this life as kings. But everything that we are to be ruler over is hinging on our commitment to stewardship.

NEVER SETTLE FOR WHERE YOU ARE

Philippians 3:13-14
-Paul said that he did count himself as apprehended. Or you could say that he had not made it yet to where he knew God wanted him to make it to.
-The Word tell us that if we rely on our covenant with God that He will increase us more, and more, and more.
-We are never at our peek in growth if we live according to the Word of God.

SIZE DOES MATTER

-The average size church is less than 100 people.
-God wants our church to be as large as it can be demographically.
-We need to believe God for more increase, more growth, and more influence in our community.
-The more people that are in our church, the less people that are out there serving the devil and going to hell.
-The more of the police department, fire department, or city counsel that we have coming to church, the more influence the Word of God can have in our community.

PROJECT 13:30

Numbers 13:30
-There is a land to be possessed.
-I am here to tell you that we are well able to do it.
-If we will be a steward of what God has entrusted us with then we will be rulers over much.
-We can take this mountain!
-We can possess this land!
