WHAT
IS FAITH?
Hebrews
11:1
- Another translation reads, “Faith is the warranty
deed, the thing for which we have finally hoped is at last ours.”
- “Faith, in other words, is grasping the unrealities of hope
and bringing them into the realm of reality. And faith grows out of

HOW
DO WE GET FAITH?
Hebrews
11:6
- It seems that we need to know what pleases God.
- How do we get this faith so that we can please Him?
- “ If God demands we have faith when it is impossible for us
to have faith, we have a right to challenge His justice. But, if He
places within our hands the means whereby faith can be produced, then
the responsibility rests with us whether or not we have faith.”

- It would not be fair if God demanded something from us that we could
not give Him.
Romans 10:17
- You cannot have faith for something that you have never heard the
Word of God on.
- It is important that you be a part of a church that preaches a balanced
diet of the Word of God.
- Faith is like a muscle, you have to exercise it.

FAITH WORKS
Mark
11:22-23
- Jesus gives us a clear picture of how we are to use our faith.
- You have what you say.
- What are you saying about your life, job, family, finances, and
future?

“I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens.
When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects,
you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly
wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ,
neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion
amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior:

- No matter how much faith you have, without love it is nothing.
